Hello,

The 2026 Lincoln Music & Drama Festival (LMDF) was a success with over 500 participants which was a relief considering the lead time for developing the Festival was extremely short. Please do look at the images of the 2026 Festival performers and winners on this website.

LMDF is the city’s only amateur performing arts competition offering a range of classes covering choirs, solo and ensemble singing, piano, instrumental, speech and drama, for all ages and ability. Acoustic Nations Live CIC feel strongly that this Festival, is an important annual event in the city of Lincoln’s cultural and arts landscape.

Our ethos is to create a welcoming Festival that is friendly, safe and encouraging environment which provides an opportunity to perform live and to showcase and hone talent. The 2027 Festival syllabus will have a greater choice of classes to select from, including: A full range of piano classes (including a non-competitive beginner’s piano class), as well as slam poetry, dramatic solos, dramatic scenes, communication skills, and business pitch classes. Finally, non-competitive accessible classes, for children and adults with Special Educational Needs, will be included in the 2027 Festival syllabus.

We look forward to meeting you at the 2027 Lincoln Music and Drama Festival from 1st - 6th March and the Festival Concert on Sunday, 14th March, at the Southside venue.
